The National Scrapbooking Day was last weekend and there was so much inspiration everywhere. Finnabair – Anna Dawbroska and Riikka Kovasin was my inspiration with the layers of paper around my photo. Here I made a layout on a paper bag.  Layers of Prima Marketing papers and then Icing Paste in Finnabairs Oriental Wall stencil.  Spring Blossom Acrylic Paint and spraying water.

Simple Stories I Am – A 6×8 double spread by Anna

Hi dear ones! Hope everything is doing well with you and your family in this crazy corona-time. At least you can scrap without worries about social distancing, lol!

Anyway I have a 6×8 double spread for you here today. hope you’ll like it. I’ve been playing around with the beautiful I Am collection by Simple Stories and  also made some light Mixed Media using a few fabulous Scribble Sticks by Dina Wakely, Ranger Ink. And of cours I’ve made a few stitches using my sewing machine.

Hej fina ni! Hoppas allt är väl med er och er familj i dessa galna corona-tider. Åtminstone kan man scrappa utan att behöva tänka på att hålla avståndet till varandra, haha!

Hur som helst, jag har ett 6×8 dubbeluppslag för er här idag. Jag har lekt med den fina I Am kollektionen av Simple Stories och även gjort lite light mixed media med hjälp av några härliga Scribble Sticks av Dina Wakely, Ranger Ink. Såklart har det blivit några stygn med symaskinen också.

These Scribble Sticks are actually solid acrylic paint. They are like crayons. You just scribble them on your chosen surface ( mine are white cardstock with a already dryed layer of  clear gesso) and then add water using a brush. Play around until you’re happy with it.

Dom här Scribble Sticksen är egentligen solid akrylfärg. Det är liksom kritor. Du bara skissar med dom på din valda yta (min är vanlig cardstock med ett redan torkat lager av clear gesso) och använd sedan vatten och pensel för att lösa upp färgen. lek på tills du känner dig nöjd.

Sometimes I like to take a step out of my comfort zone and today I did it double. Firstly I do not make that many cards, I do not feel like that is my first strength and secondly I do not often create scabby Chic/pretty flower pieces. However, the Capri collection by Frank Garcia for Prima is so beautiful so how could I not give it a try?!.

I have tried to make the beautiful sentiment be the focal point of the card and framing it with lots of pretty things. I like how it turned out for sure.

Right  now we cannot travel to beautiful places around the world due to the Corona virus,, but we still can in our minds.

Ibland gillar jag att ta ett steg utanför min komforten och det har jag gjort dubbelt idag. Att göra kort är inte min starkaste sida och inte heller att skapa Shabby Chic/vackra blomsteralster. Men, med den vackra Capri-kollektionen från Frank Garcia för Prima Marketing var jag ju tvungen att prova.

Jag ville att det vackra citatet skulle vara i fokus för ögat och har ramat in det med de vackraste detaljerna jag kunde hitta. Känns det inte som om jag lyckade ganska bra ?!

Just nu kan vi inte resa till vackra platser runt om i världen på grund av Corona-viruset, men vi kan fortfarande drömma oss bort.

Time to create with trash of packaging and leftover pieces. Here a small piece of art from a small jar. A paint jar- and there have been acrylic paint inside it before. Now, it is a small piece of treasure. Black gesso in the background and the Vintage Gold and  Firebird to highlight the Art melange pebbles.  Some artstones in the jar and they are painted with sparks,

A fun quick page where the colors from the background is from Nuvo Shimmer Powder – Tonic Studios. On top of the background I’ve stippled the people through a stencil from Dina Wakley with black acrylics. The last picture shows a simular one in other pages that I’ve made in a Facebook Live. En rolig snabb sida där jag använt mig av Nuvo Shimmer Powder från Tonic Studios till bakgrunden. Över det har jag stöpplat med svart akrylfärg genom en stencil från Dina Wakley. Sista bilden visar en liknande sida i lite andra färger som jag gjorde på en Facebook live på @ciliinpapers sida.

Using Moulds -Rusty and Patina with Finnabair

Here I have made a project on cardboard. It is so easy to cut in any shape you want. Black gesso for the first layer and then rust paste and patina paste to create the grungy look. My decorations are made with moulds from Redesign and Finnabair- Prima.

Här har jag använt kartong som min bas att jobba på. Så enkelt att klippa ut i vilken form man vill. Svart gesso i botten och sedan färg från Rust Paste set och även från Patina setet. Mina dekorationer är gjorda med silkonformar från Redesigm och Finnabair- Prima-

Inspiration Sizzix dies Garden shed

Hello to you all, I’m here today to show a couple of tags I made with a garden theme to them. I just wanted some spring time inspiration so I googled quotes about spring and flowers and made mixed media tags just for fun. Since I didn’t have photos of my own, I used clippings from garden magazines as my focal points. And then I decorated with the lovely dies from Sizzix called Garden Shed. This set is so cute and can be used for a variety of styles. Other decorations are stencils and washi from Vicki Boutin/American crafts. Vickis collection almost always contain a lot of botanical elements like flowers and leaves. Hope you enjoy and get some spring inspiration!

When working with such detailed dies a good, strong adhesive that is easy to apply is essential. I really recommend the Nuvo Glue pen from Tonic studios. I use the smooth precision kind, but there are others as well.
