Perfection is overrated- Finnabair-Prima

Shiny and grungy at the same time.  Here some texture with Finnabair Mind Games stencil. Have added lot of embellishments made from moulds. When everything is dried I have added metalllic paint in layers to give it a sparkling shine.

Love the combination of gloss and matte surface. Here with glossy Liquid Acrylic Paint and the grungy rust paste. Layers of Tim Holtz tags and for my focalpoint a paperdoll with a vintage flair.  On the paperdoll and the flair I have embossed with the new embossing glaze in vintage photo. Also some factory tags and machinery heads for extra interest.

Time to create with trash of packaging and leftover pieces. Here a small piece of art from a small jar. A paint jar- and there have been acrylic paint inside it before. Now, it is a small piece of treasure. Black gesso in the background and the Vintage Gold and  Firebird to highlight the Art melange pebbles.  Some artstones in the jar and they are painted with sparks,

Creating for myself- Art Journaling-Prima-Finnabair

I have recently made a lot of art journaling. So busy times and so much happening around the world right now.  I have daily created in my 6×6 Art Journal from Finnabair after my busy days. This is for me and my thoughts and feeling are all in my journal.  This have been my way to meditate and relax. My journal is bulky so I have picked out some sides from the journal. Maybe I will make a new cover for the pages.

Do what you love – layout with Grand Bazaar by Kaisercraft

Hello! Hope you had a nice weekend. Today I’m sharing a layout with papers and decorations from the lovely Grand Bazaar by Kaisercraft. For this one I chose a bright white background because I wanted to know how the papers and decorations with their saturated colours would work. I like the crisp contrast it gives, and actually some of the stickers have a white border so they went well with that. There’s also the rustic wood grained paper and I always love those so it was fun to use. I also got away with not coming up with a title since the stickers did the job for me. 

Hej, hoppas du haft en fin helg! Idag visar jag en layout med papper och dekorationer från Kaisercrafts vackra Grand Bazaar. Till denna layout valde jag ett helvitt papper som bakgrund för jag ville se hur de mustiga och murriga färgerna i serien passade med det. Jag gillar den fräscha kontrasten som blir, och en del av klistermärkena har vit bakgrund och kant så de funkade fint. I kollektionen finns också ett härligt trämönstrat papper, det är en stor favorit hos mig så det använde jag såklart. Jag klarade mig också ifrån att komma på en bra titel eftersom jag kunde använda klistermärken med text som gjorde jobbet åt mig 🙂

Grand Bazaar by Kaisercraft – layout

Hello! I am happy to show you a layout I made with Kaisercrafts collection Grand Bazaar. It is absolutely lovely, with rich colors and a bohemian feel. Great for cards and layouts with layers and mixed media. Nice hues of dark blues, deep reds and pops of saffron and turqouise gives this a really unique feel. I used the lightest colored paper in the collection for my background. It already has collage style print so all I added was some yellow and kraft hues with my mists, some drops and decorations from the sticker block. There are a lot of text stickers included, which is great for me who always struggle with titels and rarely do journaling on my pages. The texts give great prompts if you want to journal though.

Hej! Idag har jag nöjet att visa en layout jag gjort med serien Grand Bazaar från Kaisercrafts. Den är riktigt ljuvlig men härliga djupa färger och en bohemisk känsla. Toppen till både layouter och kort med många lager och mixed media. Fina nyanser av mörk blå, mättade röda toner som kompletteras med saffransgult och turkost ger den en unik känsla. Jag valde det ljusaste pappret i serien till min bakgrund. Då den redan har ett tryck i kollagestil så räckte det med att jag använde mister i gulbeiga toner så var bakgrunden klar. Det finns många stickers med texter bland dekorationerna, vilket är toppen för mig som alltid har svårt att komma på en titel och som inte skriver så mycket på mina layouter. Texterna är dock bra som utgångspunkt för den som vill ha lite inspiration till sin journaling.

News from Finnabair/Prima Marketing

Here I have used one of Finnabairs New releases of stencils. Here I have used Mind Games with texture paste Graphite on a chipboard tag from Prima. I have worked with the new Matte Waxes on the texture. On the last layer, there is the Old White wax. Love  the white wax and it will be a favorite. For my focal point a heart lock pendant with a vintage photo.

Nyheter och nya produkter från Finnabair har blivit släppta. Här har jag använt en ny stencil Mind Games tillsammans med Graphite Paste på en chipboard tag från Prima. Nya Matte waxes ger färgen på strukturen. På sista lagret har jag lagt av Old White. Den vita ger en läcker effekt och kommer bli en av mina favoriter. I mitt blickfång har jag ett metallhjärta med en vintage bild, båda är från Finnabair.

My Valentine – cards with Simple Stories

Hello and happy monday!

I took a break from blogging but now I’m happy to be back to show you some cute valentine cards I made with the pretty set from Simple Stories called My Valentine. I just love the combination red and pink, and with splashes of aqua it is a sure winner. The decorations include lots of roses in different hues from salmon pink to deep red, banners, signs and of course conversation hearts. Must have for Valentine´s, right?

Jag har haft en paus från bloggen ett tag men nu är jag tillbaka för att visa er ett par söta Alla hjärtansdag-kort. De har jag gjort med Simple Stories fina kollektion “My Valentine”. Jag älskar kombinationen rött och rosa. Men detaljer i turkost så blir det hel vinnare helt klart. Giftbag- Darcelle flowers- Prima Marketing

A small gift bag with paper scraps from a previous project. Have used papers, flowers and Puffy stickers from the Darcelle collection. Prima always make matching sets with flowers, stickers, and papers that match so well. So easy to use on many different projects.

En liten presentpåse med spillbitar som jag hade över från ett tidigare projekt. Har använt papper. blommor och stickers från Darcelle kollektionen som  Prima har gjort. Prima gör alltid vackra matchande kollektioner med blommor, stickers och papper som matchar varandra. Så enkelt att använda på många olika slags alster.

Birthday Cards using Rangers Letter It

Hi dear friends! I’m back sharing a few colorful birthday cards with you. I’ve been playing with some of the newer goodies from the shop. Hope you’ll like it.

Hej kära vänner! Jag är tillbaka med några färgglada födelsedagskort. Jag har skapat med några av dom nyare godbitarna ur shoppen. Hoppas du gillar det.

For the pink one I’ve used a resist techniqe I’ve learned by the one and only Jennifer McGuire. You can have a look at her vidoe here. For the two green ones I just heat embossed my images in two different powders before I used my Blender Brush together with a few Distress Oxide’s.

För det rosa har jag använt en resist-teknik jag lärt av den fantastiska Jennifer McGuire. Du hittar videon här. För dom två gröna har jag helt enkelt embossat med två olika embossing pulver innan jag gick loss med min Blender Brush tillsammans med några Distress Oxider.
